Intense aromas of cherry liqueur, blackberry display a dense, concentrated merlot with a long velvety finish. In its youth, it is a dark, inky, exuberant wine showing pure fruit with oak that shows in the middle and finish. Its balance is exquisite and we think while it shows well now, we cannot wait to watch it grow into complex beauty. There is plenty of new sweet French oak lurking in the background. Compared to our 2021 merlot that was big and bold, this is more about fruit intensity. Definitely not your dad’s merlot, you may think the world is a-ok for a few minutes after a sip.
